About This Role

This Buyer role contributes to the division's profit by implementing effective systems and procedures within the Purchasing department. The position focuses on identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing supplier relationships to ensure efficient material flow and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Identify cost out opportunities
• Review invoices on hold and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Maintain and correct purchasing info records, item masters, and lead times in SAP
• Place purchase orders based on the standard work schedule as per SAP suggestions
• Maintain communication and provide updates to internal customers regarding material arrival
• Maintain raw material inventory levels in accordance with monthly objectives
• Burn down any past due purchase orders from suppliers and provide accurate dates in SAP
• Follow up on standard work on a daily basis
• Have direct communication with suppliers regarding material usage and forecast
• Give disposition to rejected material and create corrective action plans
• Reduce any PPV and provide detailed explanations if generated
• Provide necessary support to ensure EHS policies are respected in all contents

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position
• 80% minimum English domain
• MS Office (Excel, Word)
• SAP
• Negotiation skills
• Ability to set own priorities based on daily activities
• Experience with invoices on hold, AMR execution trend, past due requisitions, past due purchase orders, inventory on raw material, supplier performance (OTD), material shortages, cost savings, PPV, premium freight, not confirmed purchase orders

Important Details

• Office move: Eaton announced, on June 11, 2026, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. This process is expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2027.
