Busser

About This Role

As a member of the food service team, the Busser ensures the dining room is properly maintained to give guests the best experience possible. This role is crucial for the smooth operation of the restaurant and involves direct interaction with guests and support for the wait staff.

Responsibilities

• Keep the dining room clean, including vacuuming, cleaning and refilling table condiments, polishing glasses and silverware, prepping bread and butter, filling ice containers and the pop machine, maintaining linens in an organized manner, and preparing clean rags and sanitizer
• Bus and reset tables between guests
• Assist wait staff in refilling water, butters, and sugars
• Learn the place setting for each meal and assist with resetting for mealtimes by rolling silverware and folding napkins
• Greet and assist guests, alerting servers if needed
• Clean the front of the house and wait at the station to ensure the restaurant is clean and organized
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must give exceptional service to all guests
• Must be able to troubleshoot and create solutions if needed
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must be fluent in English, bilingual a plus
• Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without corrective lenses
• Frequent walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to reach hands and arms in any direction and kneel and stoop repeatedly
• Lift and carry up to 35 pounds
• Perform repetitive tasks
• Regularly required to talk or hear
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

• Schedule: Sunday through Saturday, shifts vary based on business needs and customer needs; regularly requires long hours and weekend work
