Business Operations Executive

About This Role

This executive role supports gold buyback operations across various business channels, including branches, subsidiaries, and banking partners. It involves coordinating daily transactions, gold collection, documentation, and operational reporting. The position is ideal for an organized and detail-oriented individual who is comfortable with numbers and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily gold buyback operations across branches, subsidiaries, banking partners, and other relevant business channels
• Process and monitor gold buyback transactions
• Assist with gold purity assessments and valuations in accordance with company procedures
• Verify transaction details and ensure all records and supporting documents are accurate and complete
• Coordinate with the Finance team, branch personnel, and other relevant departments on gold collection schedules, settlements, and reconciliations
• Maintain accurate transaction, inventory, and settlement records
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports
• Monitor ongoing transactions and follow up on outstanding matters
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies involving transactions, valuations, inventory, or settlements
• Support internal and external audits by preparing documents and providing the required operational information

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Previous experience in operations, banking, finance, retail, inventory management, gold, or jewellery will be an advantage
• Comfortable working with numbers, transaction records, and operational reports
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Able to work independently and collaborate with different departments
• Responsible, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Willing to travel to branches or other business locations when required
• Knowledge of gold purity assessment or valuation is an advantage; relevant guidance or training will be provided where applicable
