Business Operations Associate

About This Role

This Business Operations Associate role is a dispatching position focused on managing freight shipments from booking to delivery and payment. The ideal candidate will work closely with AI technology, handling customer and carrier communications, resolving issues, and contributing to the scaling of operations.

Responsibilities

• Own shipments end to end, from booking through delivery and payment
• Dispatch carriers and ensure every load is covered with a trusted carrier
• Be the point of contact for customers, answering questions by phone, text, and email, and handling support requests from first message to resolution
• Track active loads and proactively address delays before customer inquiries
• Follow through on every commitment made to customers and carriers
• Follow up with drivers, customers, and staff at pickup and delivery locations to ensure clear communication of status and timelines
• Own issues end to end, ensuring problems are fixed and customers are informed
• Work daily within AI tooling, identify inaccuracies, and help shape future functionalities
• Resolve on-road problems such as schedule changes, damage claims, and payment issues

Requirements

• Strong follow-through, seeing every shipment from inception to completion, regardless of time
• Comfort with software, quickly learning new tools and embracing AI collaboration
• Clear, calm communication with carriers and customers via phone, text, and email
• Composure with customers under pressure, capable of de-escalating frustrated calls
• Reliability, ensuring commitments are met
• Good judgment under pressure and an instinct to resolve problems directly

Nice to have:

• Experience in dispatch, brokerage, logistics, auto transport, or at a tech company building for these sectors

Important Details

• Schedule: 996 (evenings and weekends when needed), fast-paced, hours are not nine to five
• Expected hours: 40.0 per week
