About This Role
Developing and operating business intelligence (BI) platforms, tools, and reports is the core of this role. The individual will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions, ETL processes, and dashboards, ensuring they meet stakeholder needs.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions, extract, transform, load (ETL) processes, and dashboards
- Gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure the BI solution meets needs
- Develop data models to support reporting and analytics
- Implement ETL processes to analyze data from various source systems and data formats
- Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
- Collaborate with multiple teams to understand requirements and objectives
- Administer testing and troubleshooting
- Create and update documentation
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, statistics, mathematics, economics, or a related field, or three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a BI Developer
- Strong data visualization skills, creating compelling and easy-to-understand dashboards
- Proficiency in SQL
- Excellent communication and training abilities
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- In-depth knowledge of data governance and data security best practices
- Proficiency in data exploration and querying
- Familiarity with data modeling and data warehousing
- Experience as a BI developer or similar role with a strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes
- Proficiency with BI tools/software
- Strong understanding of data warehouse, data lakehouse, and data mart concepts
- Strong project management skills

- Significant experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, product owners, and stakeholders
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of data warehousing and cloud computing
- AWS Quick Sight certification
- Technical background and experience in data and AI/ML projects
- Functional experience with local or government projects in Data Services (MDM/R360/EDMS), Child Support, Integrated Eligibility, Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services, Juvenile Justice, or Health and Human Services
