Job Summary

We are looking for a strategic and operationally-minded Business Architect to join our high-impact Business Architecture team within the CIO Office, supporting the GTM Next Program. In this role, you will own the holistic business view of capabilities across the Order-to-Cash value stream — from deal execution through operational fulfillment, billing, and revenue recognition. You will serve as the essential connective tissue between Finance, Sales Operations, Deal Desk, Legal, and technical teams, translating Go-To-Market strategy into scalable, value-driven business capabilities. A critical dimension of this role is identifying and embedding AI and automation opportunities to reduce friction, streamline post-close processing, and keep our revenue workflows at the forefront of innovation. This position requires approximately 10% travel for in-person working sessions, workshops, and stakeholder collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive a holistic business architecture across the Order-to-Cash value stream, ensuring seamless alignment from deal execution to billing and revenue recognition
  • Architect capabilities supporting Operational CLM, including contract obligation management, compliance controls, workflow orchestration, amendments, and contract change management
  • Design the architecture for order creation, validation, complex order processing, and order change management across upstream and downstream systems
  • Architect flexible billing and invoicing capabilities including credits and adjustments, invoice generation, payment scheduling, collections, cash applications, tax calculation, credit management, dispute management, and customer account profile management
  • Define capabilities and data flows that enable revenue recognition, scheduling, allocation, reporting, auditability, and compliance in partnership with Finance and RevRec policy owners
  • Act as a liaison between Business Executives, Business Product Owners, and Technical Product teams to bridge strategy and execution
  • Identify and integrate AI-driven and automation capabilities into revenue and billing workflows to improve efficiency, time-to-value, and decision-making
  • Lead process re-engineering efforts to diagnose capability gaps and implement designs that achieve desired financial and operational outcomes
  • Develop and maintain Business Process Models and Capability Maps to support program delivery and stakeholder alignment
  • Define and track KPIs that evaluate the success of O2C architectural shifts and operational improvements
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments and drive process standardization across Finance, Legal, and Operations
  • Support iterative, Agile program delivery in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Skills

  • Deep understanding of SaaS business models including subscription billing, co-terming, consumption and usage models, and complex contract modifications
  • Expertise across core O2C sub-domains: Operational CLM, Order Management, Billing and Invoicing, and Revenue Operations
  • Strong capability in Business Process Modeling and Capability Mapping
  • Proven ability to influence decision owners and SMEs to drive process standardization across Finance, Legal, and Operations
  • Experience with enterprise O2C enablement platforms including CLM, Billing Engine/ERP, CPQ-to-Order integrations, and Revenue Recognition engines
  • Demonstrated ability to embed AI and automation into operational workflows to reduce cycle times and improve decision-making
  • Mastery of process re-engineering techniques to diagnose gaps and implement functional designs
  • Strong analytical skills to define and track KPIs evaluating O2C architectural performance
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative program delivery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to manage ambiguity and lead complex, multi-stakeholder projects simultaneously
  • AI and innovation mindset with a track record of integrating emerging capabilities into revenue and billing processes

Experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Business Architecture, Revenue Operations, Finance Operations, Order Management, Management Consulting, or Sales Operations within the SaaS or Technology industry
  • Proven hands-on experience with enterprise Order-to-Cash platforms such as Contract Lifecycle Management tools, Workday Financials, CPQ integrations, financial platforms such as Zuora, and Revenue Recognition engines
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives spanning Finance, Legal, Sales Operations, and Technical teams
  • Experience operating in an "Operational" Business Architecture capacity — moving beyond high-level theory into functional process design and execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Certifications in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, or related disciplines such as CBAP or Lean Six Sigma are preferred
  • Agile or Scrum certifications are a plus
  • Salesforce certifications or equivalent platform credentials are preferred
