Business Analyst

About This Role

As a Business Analyst in the Supply Analytics team, you will identify new partners and opportunities while cultivating relationships to deliver optimal outcomes for our end customers. This role involves managing day-to-day interactions with partners and collaborating with various teams within Agoda to fulfill partner needs.

Responsibilities

• Translate internal briefs into analytical projects, refining the initial brief and asking the right questions
• Use and analyze data from multiple large-scale data warehouses, presenting statistically robust analysis to business stakeholders
• Proactively identify growth opportunities within supply and the broader business
• Drive new analytical initiatives and projects aimed at improving organizational efficiency and shaping Agoda supply
• Identify, support, and lead projects that scale how the Supply organization leverages data, insights, and intelligence
• Automate manual operational processes, presenting time savings achieved through modernization of business operations

Requirements

• At least 2-5 years of experience as an Analyst in analytics, data science, insights, strategy, or BI
• Advanced working knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL
• Strong expertise in data visualization tools, preferably Tableau
• Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools like Excel and Python (or R)
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, engineering, science, economics, or finance)
• Understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning techniques such as hypothesis testing and regression
• Experience in stakeholder management and comfortable presenting to senior leadership
• Experience with A/B testing experimentation
• Strong ability to find data insights and provide actionable business recommendations
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Data-driven in decision-making and performance measurement
• Comfortable in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Nice to have:

• MBA or Master’s in a quantitative subject
• Program management certifications (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2)
• Experience in Asian markets
• Background in travel industry, e-commerce, tech, or consulting
