About the role
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to help bridge business needs and technical solutions across integrated systems and platforms. This 12-month contract role is ideal for someone who enjoys uncovering process details, translating requirements into clear technical documentation, and partnering with cross-functional teams to improve how data and applications work together.
Responsibilities
- Lead discovery sessions with business stakeholders, architects, developers, and external partners to gather integration and workflow requirements.
- Document current-state and future-state processes to identify gaps and support technical solution design.
- Create detailed source-to-target data mappings, including transformation rules, validation criteria, and schema considerations.
- Develop functional specifications, API payload documentation, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Support issue resolution by helping define exception handling, reconciliation steps, and data quality controls.
- Coordinate alignment meetings with vendors and third-party teams to ensure requirements are understood and implementation remains on track.
- Partner closely with technical teams to help ensure accurate data movement between legacy and cloud-based applications.
Skills
- 3–5 years of business analysis experience supporting IT integration, API, middleware, or ERP initiatives.
- Strong understanding of data formats and structures, including JSON, XML, CSV, and relational databases.
- Working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, web services, and endpoint connectivity.
- Experience producing clear, organized technical documentation and requirements artifacts.
- Ability to facilitate discussions, gather information from multiple stakeholders, and translate technical concepts clearly.
- Proficiency with process-mapping tools such as Visio or Miro.
- Experience using JIRA or Azure DevOps for backlog and work tracking.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with integration platforms or middleware tools.
- Experience supporting cross-system data reconciliation and exception management.
- Familiarity with cloud application environments and legacy-to-modern system integrations.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Background in building organized documentation that supports both business and technical audiences.
