Broadcasting and Media Relations Assistant

About This Role

This part-time, seasonal role supports the Manager of Broadcasting and Media Relations with game broadcasts, media operations, and team communications, both at home and on the road. The position suits a hardworking, dependable, and self-motivated individual motivated to make Delta Dental Stadium the most entertaining experience in the Eastern League.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate media interview requests for players, coaches, and staff
• Contribute to the production of accurate daily game notes
• Assist in scripting and producing radio ads
• Distribute gameday materials throughout the ballpark
• Assist in creation and distribution of media credentials
• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the press box
• Brainstorm and produce content for website and social channels
• Work with front office members and assistants in support of gameday roles
• Help design and distribute graphics for social media and video board as needed
• Host pregame and postgame radio shows for select home games
• Conduct live, on-field postgame interviews
• Serve as a key contributor to the broadcast team
• Maintain and organize the broadcast media library on streaming laptop
• Edit and upload audio assets (rejoiners/ads) for broadcasts, remove old ones
• Learn and operate the Game Day/Datacasting system, when needed
• Assist the official scorer with pitch-by-pitch data, game tracking, and box scores, when needed
• Operate the pitch clock and scoreboard, when needed

Requirements

• Prior broadcast experience required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Basic proficiency in audio/video editing and graphic design
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must secure personal housing in or near Manchester, NH
