Position Purpose
Works closely with the Breast Center Supervisor and Radiologists to coordinate and perform all mammography quality control and assurance activities
What you will do
- Coordinates the day-to-day activity of patient procedures for mammography, general diagnostic, Bone Density, and Interventional Breast examinations.
- Additionally, this position requires participation in technical mammographic procedures in the Comprehensive Breast Center.
- The incumbent will work closely with the Chief Breast Radiologist and radiology management to ensure compliance with MQSA standards and to monitor key performance metrics.
- The position involves coordinating all activities related to the collection, tracking, and reporting of data and metrics pertaining to Mammography and Breast Imaging.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Graduate from a recognized approved AMA council on Education Program in Radiologic Technology, bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Licensure: Current Connecticut Licensure. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiography, Mammography, Quality Management preferred.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to facilitate communication with medical and technical personnel. Ability to deal efficiently and courteously with all hospital personnel. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department’s computerized system and its associated devices. Three years appropriate technical skills in general diagnostic radiology and mammography.
