About This Role
This fixed-term maternity cover role for 12-15 months involves taking ownership of a key luxury fragrance brand in the UK. It is a hands-on, commercially focused position, requiring the ability to move between strategy, numbers, retailer plans, launches, and day-to-day delivery in a lean and fast-moving environment. The role suits a Brand Manager with experience in luxury beauty or fragrance who can work autonomously and translate business insights into practical actions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement local brand activity, ensuring commercial objectives are achieved while maintaining the positioning and integrity of a premium fragrance offering
- Take day-to-day ownership of the UK business, delivering the agreed annual brand plan, priorities, and commercial targets
- Monitor sell-in, sell-out, retailer and door performance, and track the wider market, competitors, and consumer trends, to spot opportunities and risks and drive the actions that follow
- Assess the commercial opportunity of new retailers, doors, and distribution before moving into activation
- Translate global brand strategy and launch plans into commercially effective UK activity
- Lead launches, key campaigns, and 360° activation across retail, PR, digital, media, sampling, and events, managing each from brief to execution
- Partner with National Account Managers on retailer-specific plans that drive productivity, visibility, and growth
- Work with the PR team to shape and deliver the UK PR and communications plan
- Manage the marketing and activation budget, own performance reporting, and forecast with Sales, Finance, and Supply
- Act as the day-to-day contact for the global team, with clear and timely updates on UK performance, plans, and challenges
- Align colleagues across the business behind the brand plan, and lead regular cross-functional brand meetings with clear actions and follow-through
- Prepare and deliver presentations to the global team, senior leadership, and retailer partners
- Protect the brand's positioning, image, and desirability across all UK activity, including in-store executions, permanent and temporary
Requirements
- Proven Brand Manager / Senior Brand Manager experience within luxury fragrance, beauty, or a premium consumer environment
- Genuine commercial ownership: forecasting, budgets, KPIs, and performance analysis
- A solid understanding of the UK retail landscape, ideally with fragrance experience and established retailer relationships
- A track record of delivering annual brand plans, launches, and multi-channel campaigns, not just communications and activation
- Experience working with international brand teams or principals, and adapting global strategy for the UK
