About This Role
Being a Branch Manager at U.S. Bank involves leading and managing branch operations to meet goals and ensure compliance with banking laws. This role focuses on delivering an excellent customer experience, coaching team members, and identifying financial resources for customers by recommending appropriate products and services.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and ensure all team members provide an excellent customer experience reflective of U.S. Bank culture and core values
- Lead and manage branch(es) to ensure goals are met
- Ensure compliance with all banking laws and regulations
- Regularly coach, develop, mentor, and train team members
- Exercise discretion with independent judgment in performing necessary duties
- Utilize effective communication and critical thinking to identify financial resources for customers
- Fulfill customer needs by providing direction and recommendations to appropriate products and services
- Help individual and business customers reach their financial goals through collaboration with partners including wealth, business banking, mortgage, or payment services
- Act as a leader for customer experience, providing motivation and direction for the team
- Expand customer base and promote and participate in the local market/community to identify needs and promote U.S. Bank products and services
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Three to four years of experience working in a sales, retail management, or banking environment
Nice to have:
- Thorough product/service knowledge and thorough knowledge of regulatory, policy and compliance issues
- Solid understanding of adaptive coaching, conflict resolution, accountability, influence, critical thinking, priority setting, relationship management, and business insights
