About the role
Your Purpose As Boutique Manager, you will lead the onboard retail operation, ensuring the highest standards of guest service, commercial performance, and operational excellence across all boutique areas. You will be responsible for creating a premium shopping environment that reflects MSC Cruises’ luxury hospitality standards while motivating and guiding the retail team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. This role is central to ensuring clear operational alignment, effective team leadership, and consistency across onboard retail activities.
Your Impact You will directly contribute to the success of the onboard retail business by driving sales performance, managing daily boutique operations, and ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Through strong leadership, coaching, and operational oversight, you will support team development, strengthen collaboration across departments, and maintain high merchandising and service standards. Your ability to lead multicultural teams and ensure smooth retail operations will play a key role in delivering a consistent and high-quality shopping experience across the MSC Cruises fleet.
Your Journey So Far To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need
- High school graduate or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as sea-going Boutique Manager with another cruise line
- Successful completion of MSC Shops’ internal promotion plan from Assistant Boutique Manager is considered an advantage
- Proven experience managing retail operations and achieving sales targets
- Experience leading multicultural teams in fast-paced environments
- Strong understanding of customer service and luxury retail standards
- Previous cruise ship experience preferred
Your Essentials To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
- Fluent spoken and written English (minimum B1 level required)
- Additional European languages are considered an advantage depending on itinerary
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Guest-focused mindset with strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage operational priorities and work under pressure
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Flexibility and adaptability to live and work onboard in an international environment
