Bookkeeper

About This Role

Bookkeeping for a growing plumbing company is the core of this permanent part-time or casual role, which offers consistent weekly work with flexibility. The position is ideal for an experienced and reliable bookkeeper.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Payroll processing
• Customer invoicing and progress claims through Simpro
• Bank and account reconciliations
• Credit card and transaction reconciliation
• Monitoring and managing outstanding debtor balances
• Supplier payment processing
• Assisting with month-end reporting
• Maintaining accurate financial records in Xero and Simpro
• General bookkeeping and administrative duties as required

Requirements

• Previous bookkeeping experience
• Strong knowledge of Xero Accounting Software
• Experience processing payroll and STP reporting
• Understanding of construction or trade-based invoicing processes
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently
• Professional references
• National Police Check prior to commencement

Important Details

• Schedule: Approximately 2 days per week; start and finish times are flexible and can be arranged to suit school drop-offs and pick-up, provided the required work is completed
