Bookkeeper

About This Role

This bookkeeping position is available on a full-time basis, assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for a variety of clients within a friendly, dynamic, and progressive boutique CPA Accounting Practice. The role suits an experienced bookkeeper who wants to join a growing team.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing bookkeeping for a small number of clients using MYOB and Xero
• Prepare monthly Instalment Activity Statements
• Prepare monthly and quarterly Business Activity Statements
• Process payroll including superannuation payments
• Prepare and lodge payroll tax returns
• Prepare accounts to trial balance, including accounts payable and receivables, bank and credit card reconciliations
• Prepare month-end reports
• Perform ad-hoc office/administration duties as required

Requirements

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and applications
• Excellent attention to detail, reconciliation skills, accuracy with data entry, and good record-keeping skills
• Excellent multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment

Nice to have:

• Experience using MYOB and Xero
• Cert IV Bookkeeping certification or equivalent
