The Opportunity Downer's Energy & Utilities team is offering a hands-on Boilermaker Apprenticeship in Hexham NSW , starting in mid-January 2027. You'll be involved in the full fabrication process - from preparing parts and using machinery to assisting with installations. Learn how to use hand tools, perform tack welding, and help build components for switch rooms and other electrical infrastructure. This is a great opportunity to gain solid, practical experience while learning the trade. As part of Downer, you will also have the opportunity to see not only experience the Hexham workshop, but other sites and projects as part of Downer's Energy & Utilities sector.
About You
- Drivers Licence
- Completed Year 10 or higher (Year 12 preferred) with Pass marks in Maths & English
- Willingness to travel to different projects / sites as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Keen to learn and work in a hands-on, workshop-based environment
- Committed to safety, teamwork, and high-quality workmanship
