About This Role
The Blockchain Integrator plays a crucial role in leading engineering efforts within the payments domain, focusing on the integration of blockchain technologies. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional with extensive experience in software engineering and a deep understanding of payment lifecycles and blockchain fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Lead engineering teams and manage tech leads to deliver high-volume, low-latency systems in production.
- Manage stakeholder relationships with product, risk, compliance, and senior executives, effectively communicating technical risks to non-technical decision-makers.
- Apply expertise in payment lifecycles, including initiation, authorization, clearing, settlement, reconciliation, returns, and exceptions.
- Utilize hands-on experience with SEPA, SWIFT, and ISO 20022 message structures to map on-chain events.
- Design real-time, double-entry ledger systems with a focus on idempotency and event sourcing.
- Implement distributed ledger fundamentals and consensus mechanisms in production environments.
- Develop and test smart contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and industry standards like PCI DSS and SOC 2 Type II.
- Utilize a core technology stack including Java/Kotlin, Go, Rust, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing engineering teams and delivering mission-critical systems.
- Strong understanding of payment systems and blockchain technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java/Kotlin, Go, or Rust, and familiarity with smart contract development.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and observability tools.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Previous experience at a stablecoin issuer or digital asset unit.
- Familiarity with privacy-enhancing technologies and contributions to open-source blockchain projects.
