Blockchain Architect

About This Role

This role involves leading the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and high-performance blockchain architectures. It suits an experienced software engineer with a strong background in distributed systems and blockchain development, ready to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance blockchain architectures aligned with business and technical requirements
• Evaluate and select suitable blockchain platforms, protocols, consensus mechanisms, and distributed ledger technologies for enterprise use cases
• Architect and develop smart contracts, decentralized applications (dApps), and blockchain-based solutions using platforms such as Ethereum and Hyperledger Fabric
• Define blockchain network architecture, including public, private, and consortium blockchain networks
• Lead smart contract development, testing, deployment, auditing, and optimization to ensure security and reliability
• Design tokenization frameworks, digital asset solutions, and blockchain-based transaction workflows where applicable
• Integrate blockchain applications with enterprise systems, databases, APIs, payment platforms, and external services
• Establish blockchain security standards covering cryptography, identity management, access controls, key management, and transaction validation
• Optimize blockchain performance, scalability, interoperability, transaction throughput, and network costs
• Evaluate Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions, cross-chain interoperability, bridges, and decentralized infrastructure
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, security teams, business stakeholders, and compliance teams to translate requirements into technical architecture
• Define architecture standards, development guidelines, technical documentation, and governance practices
• Lead proof-of-concept initiatives, technical design reviews, architecture assessments, and production deployments
• Monitor emerging blockchain technologies, Web3 developments, and industry standards to identify opportunities for innovation
• Provide technical leadership, mentor engineering teams, and ensure compliance with applicable security and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical discipline
• Typically 5 to 10 years of experience in software engineering, distributed systems, solution architecture, or blockchain development
• Strong understanding of blockchain fundamentals, distributed ledger technology, consensus algorithms, cryptography, and peer-to-peer networks
• Hands-on experience with blockchain platforms such as Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, or other enterprise blockchain frameworks
