About This Role

This Biochemist I position impacts people's health and well-being all around the world, working on a new and exciting automation platform, the Siemens Atellica. The role supports Manufacturing personnel with technical expertise and guidance as they build and test diagnostic reagents and materials for clinical labs on Atellica, Centaur, and Centaur CP automation platforms. This position reports to the Manager of Technical Operations within the Manufacturing sector and focuses on Hepatitis and Allergy assay portfolios, with potential for work on additional assays.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects throughout the project life cycle
• Coordinate with other departments and Siemens Healthineers sites in support of product design and process changes
• Coordinate and carry out root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Create and participate in the design of experiments (DOE) as part of validation and verification activities
• Write compliance documentation associated with technical investigations, data analyses, and experimental conclusions
• Work in the laboratory running Atellica, Centaur, and CP instrumentation with serum and other biological fluids of human and animal origin

Requirements

• BS in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or Biochemistry
• 1+ years job related experience
• Experience working on CAPA investigations and implementations
• Experience working on design and/or process change projects
• Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills
• Must be flexible and demonstrate the ability to switch priorities to meet business needs
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Legally authorized for employment in the United States
