Billing Specialist

About This Role

Billing and invoicing for a transportation and logistics company is the core of this entry-level role, which offers an excellent opportunity to build office and accounting experience. The position suits a detail-oriented individual who is comfortable with computers and eager to learn, with training provided for recent graduates or those looking to grow their administrative and accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and billing transactions accurately and timely
• Enter and verify information in company systems
• Review supporting documentation to ensure billing requirements are met
• Upload invoices and related documents to customer portals as needed
• Monitor and respond to billing-related emails
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and missing information
• Communicate with internal departments to gather information needed for invoicing
• Maintain organized billing records and documentation
• Assist with general administrative and office tasks as needed
• Support the accounting and operations teams with special projects and other duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong computer and data entry skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to learn new systems and processes
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

• Previous office or administrative experience
• Exposure to billing, accounting, customer service, or transportation/logistics environments
• Experience with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
