BILLING SPECIALIST (CONSTRUCTION / AIA BILLING)
Pittsburgh, PA 15147 Fully In-Office Salary: $55,000–$65,000 Position Overview Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join a growing construction-focused team in Pittsburgh. This role is ideal for someone with prior construction billing experience who is comfortable managing AIA billing and pay applications in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Billing Specialist will work closely with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely billing and compliance with contract requirements.
Billing Specialist Key Responsibilities
- The Billing Specialist will prepare, submit, and track AIA billings, pay applications, and lien waivers
- Coordinate with project managers and accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely invoicing
- Review contracts, purchase orders, and change orders to ensure billing compliance
- The Billing Specialist will resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client billing inquiries
- Maintain organized billing records and supporting documentation
- Support month-end close activities related to billing and accounts receivable
- The Billing Specialist will assist with collections and follow up on outstanding invoices as needed
Qualifications Of The Billing Specialist Role
- 2+ years of billing experience, preferably within the construction industry
- Hands-on experience with AIA billing and pay applications strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency with accounting or ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
