Billing Specialist

About This Role

This position provides billing support to multiple Project Managers and assists other accounting professionals within the accounting department. The role suits a detail-oriented individual who can manage various billing tasks and contribute to the team's overall accounting functions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare itemized invoices for engineering services
• Contact Project Managers and other senior-level managers to obtain or relay project information
• Verify accuracy of billing data and make revisions as needed or requested
• Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found on invoices and other accounting reports
• Code project files and documents according to company procedures
• Keep records of invoices and support documents
• File invoices and other accounting documents
• Assist in gathering information and running various accounting reports
• Assist with other accounting duties within the accounting department as needed or requested

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Extremely detail-oriented with high level of accuracy
• Proficient in MS Word and MS Excel
• Flexibility in work assignments as priorities change
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written
• Effective interpersonal skills with all levels of employees in an organization
• Must be able to work within a team and independently
• Must be reliable and dependable

Nice to have:

• Experience using Deltek Vantagepoint software

Important Details

• Schedule: 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime as needed
