- About the Opportunity:
The Billing Coordinator I plays a critical role in the billing operations within a healthcare environment. This entry-level position ensures accurate and timely entry and verification of billing data, maintaining clean records and supporting efficient billing processes. The role contributes to the organization by enabling prompt insurance payments and resolving billing issues, which supports the overall financial and operational effectiveness.
- Responsibilities:
• Enter billing data accurately using 10-key skills
• Compare data with source documents and verify billing information
• Research and resolve missing or incorrect billing information
• Verify insurance details
• Complete daily and weekly billing activities on time
• Update billing demographic data to facilitate prompt insurance payments
• Communicate with clients and patients to address billing discrepancies
• Meet daily and weekly productivity goals in a fast-paced environment
• Ensure timely processing of billing transactions
- Requirements:
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in billing, data entry, administrative support, or related field
• Exposure to billing, healthcare, or administrative environments preferred
• Basic familiarity with billing or data entry systems
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to identify discrepancies and escalate issues appropriately
• Proficient 10-key and computer skills
• Ability to follow established procedures and guidelines
• Basic problem recognition skills, including phone and written communication
• Willingness to learn billing systems and processes
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Pay range: $17.75 - $21.00 per hour
• Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm Eastern Time
• Compensation based on candidate''s experience, skills, degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data
