Behavioral Therapist

About This Role

Working as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, the Behavioral Therapist provides direct clinical services to adults and seniors, helping them manage challenges associated with anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues. This role involves assessments, interventions, treatment planning, and discharge planning, as well as individual, family, and group therapy.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services in accordance with accepted standards of social/work clinical practice
• Plan and conduct individual, family, and/or group therapy as assigned by the Director of Social Services or physician's order
• Conduct, assess, and interpret completion of Comprehensive Integrated Assessment
• Review all Multidisciplinary assessments and compile a Multidisciplinary Treatment Plan under the supervision of the attending physician
• Perform case management and discharge planning as assigned by the Director of Social Services
• Attend multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, provide updates on assigned patients and their progress toward treatment goals
• Combine the reports of all disciplines into a multidisciplinary treatment integration summary, which facilitates the patient's progress towards treatment plan goals
• Deliver patient services in an ethical manner which promotes respect for the patient and enhances the patient's dignity and satisfaction
• Demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret a patient's response to treatment in an age/disability/culturally sensitive specific manner
• Assess and interpret age/disability/cultural needs
• Identify safety, psychosocial, special mobility, and special equipment needs
• Communicate in an age/disability/culturally sensitive related manner to patients and their families
• Conduct treatment and discharge planning in accordance with age/disability/cultural needs and involve members of the patient's support system in decision making as appropriate
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned
