About the role
Role Summary: Provides behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning to patients and families, supporting emotional, mental, and substance abuse needs. Collaborates with healthcare teams and offers crisis intervention, individual, group, marital, and family therapies, as well as grief support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments to identify behavioral health issues and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
- Implements appropriate interventions, including crisis response and therapy sessions.
- Participates actively in multidisciplinary teams, offering counseling expertise and leadership.
- Documents assessments, treatment plans, and interactions according to organizational standards.
- Performs additional related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Master's Degree in counseling or related field required.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification required.
- Preferred: three years' experience in crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and behavioral health assessment and treatment.
- Strong communication, assessment, and therapeutic skills.
