Behavior Technician

About This Role

Working with children with autism and their families to achieve meaningful outcomes is the core of this role, using play-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. The Behavior Technician collects data to track progress and partners with caregivers and the clinical team to deliver consistent, high-quality support.

Responsibilities

• Use play-based ABA therapy to help children with autism achieve meaningful goals at home, in school, and in the community, grounded in evidence-based practices
• Collect data to track each child's progress

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children while demonstrating a positive, enthusiastic attitude
• High school diploma
• Willingness to obtain and maintain Registered Behavior Technician certification or applicable state licensure
• Reliable vehicle with valid in-state driver's license and insurance
• Willingness to travel approximately 45 minutes between work locations
• Ability to pass DOJ/FBI background check including fingerprinting and TB test (if applicable)
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Ability to communicate clearly and participate in physical and play-based therapies

Important Details

• Sign-on bonus for RBTs: $2000
• Sign-on bonus for completed RBT 40-hour certification prior to start date: $1000
• Part-time availability: three or four afternoons (3pm–7pm) and two mornings/middays (8am–12pm or 11:30am–3pm), depending on desired weekly hours (12–15 or 20–25 hours)
• Full-time availability: Monday through Friday, 8am–7pm (maximum of 8 hours worked per day)
• Weekday afternoon availability required (3-7pm)
• The job involves extensive standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling, and crouching
