About This Role
The Behavior Education Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting students who demonstrate challenging or dysregulated behavior within the school environment. This position is ideal for individuals who are motivated, energetic, and passionate about making a positive impact on students' learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Be an active and positive member of a mobile response team that supports students demonstrating challenging behavior
- Follow protocols and systems for supporting students
- Communicate with teachers, Dean of Students, Principals, and families in a professional manner
- Input data into the Edu Climber system to track behavior calls
- Collaborate with the team of BEAs, Dean, and other mobile response members
- Provide proactive support to students who need to regulate to learn
- Support students both in and out of the classroom
- Display mature, patient, and compassionate behaviors when working with all students
- Maintain professional behavior, including refraining from cell phone use when working with children
- Perform other related duties as assigned

- Ability to be flexible and adaptive to immediate needs
- Ability to physically move quickly and support students physically
- Ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations with students and adults
- Ability to be on your feet for long periods and move about a large school, including stairs
- Ability to connect quickly and build rapport with students
