The bartender is responsible for providing drinks, offering customized recommendations, and upselling different beverage selections.
Responsibilities
- Provide drinks and offer customized recommendations
- Offer and upsell different beverage selections
- Deliver consistent, well-made cocktails
- Interact with guests in a casual, authentic manner
- Recommend and upsell beverages naturally
- Showcase creativity and personal style behind the bar
- Work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
- Handle POS systems, cash, bar prep, and inventory basics
- Maintain a clean, organized, visually appealing bar
- Deliver elevated, consistent hospitality
Requirements
- Current TABC & Food Handler certifications
- At least 2-3 years of bartending experience in a high-volume bar, restaurant, lounge, or hotel
- Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, modern mixology trends, spirits, wine, and beer
- Ability to upsell naturally and read guests well
- Strong, clear verbal communication skills
- Experience with POS systems, cash handling, bar prep, and inventory basics
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, visually appealing bar
- Flexible, reliable, team-focused mindset
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and events
