About This Role
This role is for a Barback who will assist the Bartender in providing high-quality service to guests while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the food and beverage industry and committed to creating a memorable experience for guests.
Responsibilities
- Explain and demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Follow all appropriate Cosm policies and procedures outlined in the training manuals and employee handbook
- Prepare the section to be ready at the scheduled time

- Focus on a one-team approach by helping other team members to ensure guest satisfaction
- Perform basic mathematics
- Engage fans, coworkers, and managers with a positive, friendly, professional approach during all interactions
- Ensure each fan is taken care of upon entering and leaving the building
- Be knowledgeable of the Company
- Willingly, and with a positive attitude, follow the direction of all supervisors, including additional requests for side work, cleaning, etc.
- Follow State Liquor laws and Company policies regarding the service of any alcoholic beverage and enforcement of ordinances and laws
- Attend all ongoing food, bar, or service training, when scheduled
- Comply with, and support, all policies set forth by the Cosm employee handbook and training manuals
- Keep china/glass breakage to a minimum
- Rotate and stock all coolers with the proper products and amounts required
- Keep alcohol storage areas always locked and secure
- Possess thorough knowledge of bar set-up and closing
- Work a variety of shifts, based on the need volume of the operation (late hours, holidays, weekends, etc.)
- Consistently be friendly and outgoing toward fans, management, and fellow team members
- Work well in a fast-paced environment
- Work well under pressure
- Demonstrate good time management and communication skills
- Follow Company and state safety guidelines to provide a safe working environment
Requirements
- 1+ years previous Barback experience required, preferably in a fast-paced full-service establishment
- Possess a thorough understanding of mixing, garnishing, and serving alcoholic beverages
- Excellent communication and professional interpersonal skills
- Fluent in English and able to write in basic English
- Food handlers
- Be of legal age to create and pour alcoholic beverages in accordance with local and state laws
- Continuously stand, walk and lift up to 10 pounds
