About This Role
This barback role supports bartenders and helps keep beverage operations running smoothly in a casual dining and beverage venue. The position assists with stocking, cleaning, and other behind-the-bar tasks while helping maintain an organized and efficient service area.
Responsibilities
- Support bartenders throughout assigned shifts
- Keep the bar stocked with beer, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, and other supplies
- Replenish beverages and bar products as needed
- Collect, wash, and organize glassware and bar equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization behind and around the bar
- Assist with receiving and storing beverage deliveries
- Remove empty bottles, trash, and used items from service areas
- Help prepare the bar before service and complete closing cleanup
- Monitor supplies and notify bartenders or management when items need replenishing
- Assist bartenders during busy service periods
- Follow restaurant sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol-service procedures
- Provide friendly and professional support to guests and coworkers when needed
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, bar, hospitality, or customer-service experience preferred
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and willing to take direction
- Ability to lift and carry beverage cases, kegs, ice, and supplies safely
- Comfortable standing and moving for extended periods
- Professional and positive attitude
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
