About This Role
This barback role involves supporting bartenders by keeping the bar stocked, clean, and running smoothly, especially during busy periods. It is an opportunity to learn about bar operations within a business that values quality, teamwork, and excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Keep the bar fully stocked with ice, glassware, garnishes, and drinks throughout service
- Support the bartenders during busy periods so service runs smoothly and quickly
- Collect, wash, and polish glassware, keeping the bar and service areas clean and organised
- Help with deliveries and move stock from the cellar or storage areas to the bar
- Assist with bar opening and closing procedures
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including responsible alcohol service
Requirements
- Positive and friendly attitude as well as a willingness to work collaboratively with the team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive experience for guests
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
