Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar operations and beverage service
- Recruit, train, supervise, and motivate bartenders and bar staff
- Prepare staff schedules and coordinate shift coverage
- Maintain consistent beverage quality, preparation, and presentation
- Develop and update beverage menus, cocktails, and specialty drinks
- Ensure excellent customer service and guest satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints and resolve service issues professionally
- Monitor inventory, stock levels, and beverage supplies
- Coordinate supplier orders and maintain supplier relationships
- Control beverage costs, minimize waste, and monitor profitability
- Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and payment procedures
- Ensure responsible alcohol service in accordance with applicable laws
- Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization throughout the bar
- Inspect bar equipment and report maintenance requirements
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching when needed
- Coordinate with kitchen and restaurant teams to ensure smooth service
- Monitor sales performance and prepare operational reports
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety and licensing requirements
- Oversee opening, closing, and shift handover procedures
Requirements
- Previous experience in bar, restaurant, or hospitality operations
- Bar supervisory or management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team management abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, beer, wine, and other beverages
- Understanding of inventory management and beverage cost control
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
- Knowledge of responsible alcohol service requirements
