About This Role
Managing daily bar operations and supporting the beverage service team is the core of this role, ensuring consistent guest-service standards. This position involves supervising staff, monitoring beverage inventory, coordinating shift activities, and helping ensure efficient service in a busy bar and restaurant environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily bar operations and beverage-service activities
- Coordinate bartender assignments and shift workflow
- Support staff training, onboarding, and ongoing development
- Monitor beverage quality, presentation, and service standards
- Respond professionally to guest questions and routine service concerns
- Track beverage inventory, mixers, garnishes, glassware, and bar supplies
- Assist with ordering, receiving, organizing, and restocking inventory
- Support POS operations and established cash-handling procedures
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked bar areas
- Help coordinate staff schedules and communicate coverage needs
- Support opening and closing procedures
- Monitor service efficiency and recommend workflow improvements
- Follow applicable sanitation, workplace safety, and responsible beverage-service requirements
- Communicate operational needs and concerns to management
Requirements
- Previous bar, restaurant, or hospitality experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and customer-service skills
- Knowledge of beverage service, inventory control, and bar operations
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash-handling procedures
- Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a busy environment
- Ability to train and support team members
- Ability to meet applicable local requirements for alcohol service
