Bar Manager

About This Role

Leading a fast-paced bar where hospitality, quality, and smooth service come together is the core of this Bar Manager role. You will guide daily shifts, support beverage preparation, and keep the team focused on a welcoming guest experience, overseeing staff, service standards, inventory, cash handling, and operating results.

Responsibilities

• Manage bar workflows, shift coverage, and service in a restaurant or hospitality setting
• Hire, interview, supervise, and develop team members; lead staff training, team communication, and ongoing performance support
• Monitor inventory, purchasing, cash handling, budgets, and profit and loss (P&L) results; use basic math and operational information to guide decisions
• Use point-of-sale (POS) systems to support accurate transactions and service; maintain familiarity with Aloha POS and Micros POS where applicable

Requirements

• Experience in bar, restaurant or hospitality management, including supervising teams and managing shifts
• Knowledge of customer service, inventory control, budgeting, and team leadership
• Experience with POS systems and cash handling
