This Bar Manager role involves overseeing all aspects of bar operations, ensuring high service standards, managing inventory, and leading a team of bartenders and bar staff. The position suits an experienced and passionate individual who can elevate beverage offerings and optimize profitability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the bar, ensuring smooth service and high-quality drinks
- Develop and implement creative beverage menus, including cocktails, mocktails, wines, and other specialty drinks
- Recruit, train, and manage bar staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency
- Ensure compliance with all licensing, health, and safety regulations
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing for cost-effective purchasing
- Monitor bar sales and profitability, implementing strategies to drive revenue and customer satisfaction
- Engage with customers to enhance their experience, handling complaints and feedback professionally
- Implement and maintain cleanliness and organization standards across the bar area
- Work closely with the restaurant management team to align bar operations with overall business goals
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Bar Manager or in a leadership role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail trends, and beverage pairing
- Proven ability to manage budgets, control costs, and analyze sales data
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong customer service skills with a passion for creating an exceptional guest experience
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service
