Responsibilities
- Set up banquet areas with tables, linens, utensils, glassware, and centerpieces to create an inviting environment
- Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately, including wine and drink service, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Assist with food handling, food preparation support, and bussing to maintain cleanliness and efficiency during events
- Engage with guests professionally to provide exceptional guest services and address any special requests or concerns
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including catering options and wine pairings, to inform guests confidently
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures at all times to ensure health standards are met
- Clear tables efficiently after service, resetting areas for subsequent courses or events
Requirements
- Previous experience in the food industry or catering environment is highly preferred
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on guest relations and customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with banquet service, fine dining standards, and beverage service techniques
- Basic math skills for handling bills or POS (Point of Sale) systems transactions accurately
- Knowledge of wine types, drink service procedures, and food safety regulations
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks with enthusiasm
- Excellent communication skills combined with a friendly attitude that enhances hospitality experiences
