About This Role

Performing and supervising examination activities for state-chartered banks and credit unions is the core of this role, ensuring they operate in a safe and sound manner and comply with applicable laws and regulations. This position suits an experienced examiner who can work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform and supervise examination activities for examining teams for examination of state-chartered banks and credit unions
• Ensure that banks and credit unions are operating in a safe and sound manner
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of bank or credit union examination experience
• Completion of the FDIC Introduction to Examinations School, Financial Institution Analysis School, Asset/Liability Management School, Loan Analysis School, and Examination Management School, or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration, or a bachelor's degree in a related field with a significant amount of accounting and/or finance related coursework
• Knowledge of the practices and principles of money and banking
• Ability to learn and apply provisions of laws and regulations relating to financial institutions
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing
• Overnight travel throughout the state
• Must provide own transportation
