About This Role
Being a Bank Teller for a credit union involves processing financial transactions, managing a cash drawer, and providing excellent customer service. This role is ideal for individuals interested in the financial industry who are looking for growth opportunities within a credit union setting.
Responsibilities
- Process a variety of financial transactions in person, over the phone, and through electronic delivery channels
- Manage and balance a cash drawer and prepare daily paperwork according to procedures
- Cross-sell to members to deepen relationships that will benefit the member and the Credit Union
- Provide quality member service
- Provide specific account information, process account transactions, assist members, answer questions, and provide information
- Emphasize providing service and sales delivery at the highest level to ensure excellence in member service and help meet Credit Union's goals and objectives
Requirements
- Excellent verbal communication and above-average listening skills
- Ability to type accurately and operate a computer terminal
- Proactive in solving problems and taking the initiative to go a step above in all situations
- Ability to sit or stand for hours at a time while working on a computer, helping members with transactions, and/or providing customer service on the phone
- Ability to lift approximately 30 pounds
- Cross-selling skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Significant level of Trust, Diplomacy, Privacy, and Confidentiality
- Adhere to all Credit Union Policies and Procedures including compliance with directives and expectations in the Affidian Credit Union Employee Handbook
- Minimum two years cash handling and customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent

Important Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with the occasional start time of 7:00 am
