Position: Balinese Bilingual Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $15 - $95/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10-40 hrs/week

Role Responsibilities

  • Transcribe and annotate Balinese-to-English videos, accurately capturing timestamps and speaker dialog.
  • Analyze and outline the emotional tone and intent of speakers in various contexts.
  • Assess and describe the grammatical structures, tone, and style of both Balinese and English language samples.
  • Define complex words and phrases, providing conceptual explanations and cultural context where necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer's team to ensure the highest standard of linguistic quality.
  • Contribute to a variety of advanced language tasks, adapting to new challenges and requirements.

Requirements

  • Have native or near-native fluency in Balinese and English, with a strong command of both languages.
  • Possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for linguistic detail.
  • Have experience with transcription, linguistic annotation, or related language tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to accurately capture nuances in intonation, emotion, and meaning.
  • Have strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
