Back End Developer

About This Role

This role is for a DevOps Engineer to join the Enterprise API Management team, focusing on building, deploying, and operating the platform and services. The position emphasizes automation, reliability, and secure-by-default delivery, requiring close collaboration with engineers to improve CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting practices, and operational readiness. Some software development experience, including the ability to read, debug, and contribute code, is also necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and operate the platform and services with an emphasis on automation, reliability, and secure-by-default delivery
• Partner closely with engineers through collaboration and pair programming to improve CI/CD pipelines, troubleshooting practices, and operational readiness
• Contribute to software development when needed (read/debug code)

Requirements

• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience
• 4+ years of Helm Charts experience
• 5+ years of AWS experience (core offerings; certification preferred)
• 5+ years of Java and Spring Boot experience
• 5+ years of API Security experience

Nice to have:

• CI/CD and GitOps experience
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (e.g., Terraform/CloudFormation)
• API Gateway/API Management experience
• Observability tooling (logging/metrics/tracing) and on-call readiness
• Lua Programming
• Collaborative delivery practices (pair programming, code reviews)
