Back-End Developer

About This Role

Building and improving robust, secure, and healthcare-compliant back-end systems is the core of this Back-end Developer role. You will play a key part in scaling the company's digital sleep clinic, working closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver high-quality healthcare solutions that impact patients' and providers' lives.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reliable backend services using Python, Django, and related technologies
• Create and evolve RESTful APIs to power front-end and mobile applications and support integrations with third-party partners
• Monitor, identify, and resolve bottlenecks to ensure fast, efficient, and scalable applications that deliver a smooth user experience
• Contribute to the technical architecture of the platform, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and robustness as the product evolves
• Implement and enforce best practices to guarantee the security and integrity of sensitive health data, in line with healthcare regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Back-end Developer
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Python
• Experience with Django, including Django REST framework
• Experience with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Languages: French and English
