Back End Developer

About This Role

This backend developer role focuses on building scalable backend services and REST APIs, integrating databases and cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The position suits a skilled developer with strong expertise in Python-based web frameworks, primarily Django, and exposure to FastAPI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs for frontend and third-party integrations
• Work with relational and/or NoSQL databases for efficient data storage and retrieval
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
• Deploy, manage, and monitor applications on Azure Cloud
• Collaborate with frontend developers and stakeholders to understand requirements
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with Django (mandatory)
• Exposure to FastAPI or similar modern Python frameworks
• Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation
• Experience with databases (PostgreSQL / MySQL / SQL Server / NoSQL)
• Working knowledge of Azure services (App Service, Functions, Storage, etc.)
• Familiarity with Git/version control systems

Nice to have:

• Experience with authentication mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, etc.)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of microservices architecture
