About This Role
This Back-End Developer role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining the server-side logic and architecture for web applications. Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain server-side logic for web applications
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architecture
- Ensure seamless communication between backend systems and front-end applications through well-designed APIs and services
- Design, manage, and optimize databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, or other relevant database technologies)
- Ensure data integrity, security, and efficient retrieval
- Develop database schemas, indexes, and queries for performance optimization
- Design and implement RESTful APIs for front-end communication
- Integrate third-party services and APIs as needed
- Ensure API security and access control through authentication and authorization mechanisms
- Optimize backend performance for speed and efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server performance, database queries, and security vulnerabilities
- Implement caching strategies and load balancing where necessary
- Implement best security practices, including encryption, authentication, and secure coding standards
- Protect against common vulnerabilities such as SQL injection, XSS, and CSRF
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations
- Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless functionality
- Collaborate with the DevOps team for smooth deployment, CI/CD, and infrastructure management
- Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning and code reviews
- Maintain clear documentation for APIs, database, and backend logic
- Report progress, issues, and updates to the Development Team
