About the role
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure DevOps Technical Consultant with 5 to 8 years of hands-on experience in enterprise cloud automation, CI/CD pipeline engineering, and source code migrations.
In this role, you will be responsible for modernizing deployment workflows, executing complex repository migrations from enterprise/legacy Version Control Systems (VCS) to cloud platforms, configuring secure build/release runners, and establishing seamless integrations with artifact repositories and identity systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Repository & Code Migrations: Plan and execute enterprise-grade source code migrations from legacy or on-premises VCS platforms (e.g., GitLab, GitHub Enterprise, Perforce, Bitbucket, ClearCase) into Git/Azure Repositories while preserving commit histories, branches, and metadata.
- CI/CD Pipeline Engineering: Design, build, and optimize scalable, reusable YAML pipelines in Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions across multi-environment setups (Dev, QA, UAT, Production).
- Runner & Infrastructure Setup: Configure, manage, and secure custom/self-hosted Azure DevOps agents and GitHub Actions runners to support specialized enterprise build requirements.
- Security & Authentication Integrations: Implement OpenID Connect (OIDC), Managed Identities, Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, and secure secrets management (Azure Key Vault) to eliminate hardcoded credentials in pipelines.
- Artifact & Tooling Integration: Connect and configure deployment pipelines with enterprise artifact management systems (e.g., JFrog Artifactory) and package registries.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop custom automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Azure CLI to streamline operational workflows and automate manual tasks.
- Stakeholder Support & Governance: Collaborate closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot pipeline failures, establish DevOps best practices, and maintain environment stability.
Required Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 5 to 8 years of core experience in Azure DevOps and CI/CD engineering.
- CI/CD Platforms: Advanced expertise in Azure DevOps (YAML Pipelines) and GitHub Actions.
- Version Control Systems (VCS): Deep knowledge of Git, Azure Repos, and experience executing repository migrations from platforms like GitLab, Perforce, or Bitbucket.
- Scripting Languages: Strong proficiency in PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Python.
- Security & Identity: Hands-on experience with OIDC, Azure Key Vault, Azure RBAC, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Artifact Management: Hands-on experience integrating pipelines with JFrog Artifactory or Azure Artifacts.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (Plus): Working knowledge of Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep is a strong advantage.
