Aviation Repair Technician- 3rd Shift Location: Northern Cincinnati, Ohio

Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Aviation Repair Technician to join a fast-paced, team-oriented aerospace repair environment. This position will be responsible for repairing, overhauling, and finishing aircraft metal and composite components while following established repair procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with aircraft composites, sheet metal, mechanical tools, or aviation repair, along with the ability to read technical instructions and perform detailed repair work.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate hand tools and shop equipment, including grinders, drills, rivet guns, sanders, and related equipment.
- Perform aircraft component repairs such as hand blending, drilling, reaming, hole relocation, riveting, and surface preparation.
- Perform composite repairs involving adhesive application, curing, painting, finishing, and repair of carbon fiber and fiberglass components.
- Perform adhesive bonding, including layup, vacuum bagging, and curing processes.
- Remove coatings and adhesives through media blasting, grinding, machining, and other approved methods.
- Read, understand, and follow aircraft repair procedures and technical instructions.
- Interpret basic dimensions, measurements, tolerances, and repair requirements.
- Translate written repair instructions into accurate hands-on work.
- Maintain accurate and consistent workmanship while meeting quality and production requirements.
- Cross-train and support multiple repair areas as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Manage time effectively and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Communicate clearly with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and shop requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Potential opportunity for domestic and international travel.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Aircraft composite or sheet metal repair experience preferred.
- Previous military, aviation, aerospace, or aircraft maintenance experience preferred.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license is a plus.
- Automotive body repair, finishing, or painting experience is a plus.
- Industrial trade school training in automotive, aircraft, or a related field is preferred.
- Aluminum welding experience is a plus.
- Strong ability to read and follow technical repair procedures.
- Good mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a repair/shop environment.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must successfully complete required FAA drug and alcohol screening.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid passport is a plus for potential international travel.
