Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, filling, masking, priming and polishing
- Accurately mix and match paint colours to achieve a high-quality factory finish
- Perform complete vehicle painting, panel painting, spot repairs and paint corrections
- Identify paint and bodywork problems and determine the best repair method
- Troubleshoot and resolve unexpected issues during preparation and painting
- Select and correctly use all tools, equipment and materials required for each job
- Maintain painting equipment, spray guns, tools and the work area
- Inspect completed work to ensure excellent colour matching, finish and overall quality
- Follow all workshop health and safety procedures
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience painting all types of vehicles
- Significant experience working on luxury and high-performance vehicles is essential
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, primers, paint systems, colour matching, blending, clear coating and polishing
- Ability to independently assess jobs and solve any problems that may arise
- Thorough knowledge of the tools, equipment and materials required to complete each job properly
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to dealership-quality workmanship
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Responsible, reliable and able to complete work within agreed deadlines
Nice to have:
- Significant experience in automotive denting, panel repair and bodywork
