About the role
Enabling Smaller, More Powerful and Energy-Efficient Microchips
Work where tomorrow is created.
What should never be missing from a smartphone?
Exactly – the microchip, the core component of every electronically controlled system. Around 80% of all microchips worldwide are manufactured using ZEISS technologies. ZEISS is a technology leader in semiconductor manufacturing equipment. With highly precise lithography optics, photomask systems, and process control solutions, ZEISS enables the production of increasingly smaller, more powerful, and more energy-efficient microchips, playing a key role in shaping the era of micro- and nanoelectronics through innovation.
Your Role
- Conduct requirements engineering activities for machinery and production systems in close collaboration with customers and suppliers.
- Create technical requirements specifications and functional design specifications for control and automation systems.
- Develop end-to-end automation architectures for special-purpose machinery, including system decomposition, context definition, and the creation of various software architecture views (e.g., component, runtime, and deployment views).
- Drive the development and adoption of internal engineering standards, reference architectures, and technical guidelines, while supporting their implementation within projects.
- Support project teams in applying architectural principles, standards, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Advise external development partners and internal project stakeholders on automation architectures, technical concepts, and engineering standards.
Your Profile
- Successfully completed a degree in Control Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
