About This Role
Working with a market-leading global packaging manufacturing company, the Automation Engineer will join an expanding IT team to develop new tools and automations. This role focuses on enhancing global business productivity within the IT organization and beyond, requiring a strong background in scripting and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automation solutions to streamline IT infrastructure and operational processes
- Manage and support virtualized environments and cloud platforms including VMware, AWS, and Azure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce manual effort
- Maintain and enhance existing automation scripts and tools using PowerShell or Python
- Work with ITSM tools to integrate automation workflows and improve service delivery
- Support infrastructure monitoring, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices in automation and infrastructure management
Requirements
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python
- Experience managing IT infrastructure: VMware, AWS, Azure, Windows Server, Linux
- Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) tools
- Automation and orchestration of IT processes
- Cloud platform management and optimization
- Virtualization technologies and administration
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid, international environment
Nice to have:
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) familiarity
