About This Role
This night-shift post on the cardiac ward pairs patient care with mentoring new nurses.
Responsibilities
- Perform automotive body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural realignment using specialized tools and techniques
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair methods to restore vehicle frames and panels accurately
- Conduct sheet metal fabrication and repair using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure seamless finishes
- Apply automotive cosmetic repair skills such as auto painting, auto body refinishing, sanding, and detailing to achieve a high-quality finish
- Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision
- Use auto estimating software to assess damages and determine repair scopes while maintaining excellent customer service throughout the process
- Assist in auto restoration projects by applying advanced fabrication repair techniques and automotive structural repair knowledge
- Support vehicle maintenance tasks as needed, including heavy lifting and the use of automotive welding equipment for complex repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an automotive body technician within a dealership or collision center environment
- Strong proficiency in MIG welding, soldering, welding repair, and fabrication repair techniques
- Knowledge of automotive structural repair, sheet metal work, auto painting, and automotive cosmetic repairs
- Familiarity with auto glass installation, auto parts installation, and auto body refinishing processes
- Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and welding equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively about repairs and estimates
Nice to have:
- Valid experience with auto estimating software is preferred; dealership experience is a plus
