About This Role
This engineering role focuses on improving the audio experience across products by combining signal processing, system simulation, and engineering insight. Working closely with the Acoustics, Hardware, and Firmware teams, you will help shape the technologies behind the next generation of speakers.
Responsibilities
- Develop audio concepts and proof-of-concepts at a system level
- Explore new approaches to improve audio performance across products
- Collaborate with the Acoustics, Hardware, and Firmware teams during concept development
- Perform advanced signal processing simulations with a focus on sound pressure level (SPL), sound quality, and system efficiency
- Simulate the interaction between acoustics, amplifiers, electronics, and battery performance
- Evaluate and develop signal processing algorithms to improve overall product audio performance
- Work closely across the entire Product Development team in order to evolve and improve the audio performance across the future product portfolio
- Apply signal processing methodologies to improve sound pressure, sound quality, and battery performance
Requirements
- Hold a BSc or higher in Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics, or a related engineering field
- Designed and simulated audio systems, ideally loudspeakers, and know your way around signal processing for audio
- Comfortable using simulations and measurements to test ideas, challenge assumptions, and make better engineering decisions
- Excited by solving difficult audio problems and finding smarter ways to improve performance
- Naturally curious, love experimenting, and enjoy digging into the details until things sound and work better
- Take ownership of your work and enjoy bouncing ideas around with people who know more than you in their field
- Drawn to what SOUNDBOKS is building and excited to be a part of the journey
Nice to have:
- Experience working with loudspeaker design, transducers, enclosure design, or audio electronics
